A thermowell is a protective metal that houses a temperature sensor, such as a thermocouple or RTD (resistance
temperature detector). It allows for accurate temperature measurement while shielding the sensor from process
conditions, such as pressure, corrosive fluids, or high velocities. Thermowells are commonly used in industrial
applications, HVAC systems, and various manufacturing processes to ensure reliable temperature readings without
direct exposure to the process environment.
Material we use – Stainless steel (commonly 304 or 316), carbon steel, or other alloys suitable for the application.
Coated with special coatings for corrosion resistance.
Diameter:1/2 inch to 8 inches, depending on the sensor and application.
Length: Varies, commonly from 3 inches to 24 inches or more, based on the installation depth and required
immersion.
Wall Thickness: Commonly ranges from 0.065 inches to 0.125 inches
